Top 5 therapist website mistakes

Date: May 30, 2017

Today we will be discussing the top 5 mistakes therapists make on websites. Many therapists do not realise the mistakes they’re making on their website because they are small, but these small mistakes can lead to a loss in revenue and a lack of interest. Here are the 5 most common website mistakes:

Not having a mobile optimised page

All the information is there, but it is inaccessible for anyone that is viewing your site on their phone, making it almost unnecessary for it even to be online! Make sure your website is mobile friendly.

Not including a business address and phone number throughout your website

Many therapists sometimes forget to include all the ways a potential patient could contact them. In order to optimise the chances of a patient contacting you for an appointment, you need to put as many contact details on your website as possible including a phone number, an email and an address.

Not including targeted keywords about your business on your site

The right keywords are important for getting your website found on search engines, especially as there are so many therapists out there! Use words clients would use when looking for your service.

Not investing in social media

Social media usage in the world has exploded and many therapists around the world have been able to grow their business online and engage with many more patients using social media. It is an easy way for therapists with a limited marketing budget to gain fans and start talking to customers about their business.

Not including a video on your website

Videos are 53 times more likely to appear on the first page of a search engine. It is the single fastest growing segment of the Internet and is a great way to add personality to your brand. You can use a promotional video to promote a specific product or service or even an animated video to describe what your business is all about.

To conclude, to build and manage a successful therapists website that increases your referrals, you need to ensure you have a responsive website, include a business address, phone number and email address, have targeted keywords relevant to your business and the service your provide throughout the site, invest in social media to increase your online networking presence and use at least one video on your website.
